Abstract

The aim of this research is, "To find out the description of mathematical logic abilities of group A children before and after in the form of Puzzle play activities in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Kindergarten Karunrung Branch and whether or not the influence of Puzzle play activities on the mathematical ability of Group A children in Kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Karunrung Branch. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach to the type of Pre-Experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a population of 13 research populations and does not determine the sample because of the small population. Data collection techniques carried out by observation and documentation techniques. Data collection procedures performed were planning, giving pretest, giving treatment, giving posttest and analyzing the results. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis using Wilcoxon different test analysis. The results showed that the value of children's mathematical logic abilities at the posttest and pretest were different. The results of hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon different test showed that there was an effect of the activity of playing a puzzle on the ability of children's mathematical logic in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Karunrung Group A

Abstract

This research was based on students’ problems regarding the students’ vocabulary mastery in English teaching. Where the mean score was categorized as fair classification. Most of the students were not active in learning English language and also hard to understand learning material. Consequently, the students’ vocabulary mastery was low. The objective was to find out wheter the use of hyponymy game able to improve the vocabulay mastery of the students. The researcher applied quasi-experimental method, with two-group pre-test post-test design. The test form was vocabulary test that related to describtive text which consisted of 25 items. The samples was chosen by using random sampling technique which consisted of 60 students of the Tenth Grade Students of SMK Negeri 3 Parepare. Where X.TKJ.1 as experimental class and X.Multimedia.1 as control class. The result of the data analysis showed that the students’ vocabulary mastery improved significantly. It was proved by the mean score of pre-test was 55.86 and the post-test was 81.57. The mean score of the students in post-test was higer than Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (71) in SMK Negeri 3 Parepare. After analyzing the data by using SPSS 21, the result of probability value in post-test was (0.00) it was lower than significance value (α) = (0.05). Those indicated that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It means that the students’ vocabulary mastery where taught by hyponymy game was effective to improve the vocabulary mastery of Tenth Garade Students at SMK Negeri 3 Parepare of academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is to apply the jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve the affectifeness and autcomes of learning science fifth grade students of SDN 48 parepare. The objective to be achieved is to thetermine the application of jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve the effectiveness and autcomes of learning science fifth grade students of SDN 48 Parepare.This study used a qualitative approach to this type research is action research is action research. The results of this study show that the effectiveness and increasedstudent learning outcomes in teachimg science as applied jigsaw cooperative learning model.It shows that the jigsaw cooperative learning model to improfe the effectifeness and learning outcomes siswa pada teaching science classes SDN 48 Prepare

Abstract

This study examines the presence or absence of the influence of using graphic media on learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects. The formulation of the problem studied is whether there is an influence of the use of graphic media on student learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects, namely the ability to read comprehension in the material types of characters in fiction. This study aims to determine the effect of using graphic media on learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research and uses pre-experimental design in the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this study is the Non Probability Sampling technique with a sample size of 23. The data collection technique used in this study is a test of learning outcomes and documentation. The data analysis technique used in the study is a t-test to test the hypothesis preceded by the analysis prerequisite test in the form of a normality test. The results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-test which shows Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that the graphic image learning media has a good effect because it improves the learning outcomes of Indonesian about reading comprehension of fourth grade students public elementary school 55 Parepare.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out whether or not the use of Quiz-Demonstration-Practice-Revision (QDPR) learning model can improve students’ pronunciation especially in pronouncing sound /f/, /v/, /θ/, and /t/. The method of this research was pre-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test as an instrument of the research. The population of the research was the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 11 Pangkep that consisted of 240 students. The number of samples was 30 students. The data collection consisted of pre-test, treatment and post-test. Forms of pre-test and post-test were oral test that contained 20 words that related with the focus sounds. The findings of the research showed that the students’ mean score of pre-test before treatment was (39.17). While after treatment, the mean score of post-test was (76.83). Therefore, the significant between pre-test and post-test was 96%. In order that, the researcher assumed that using Quiz-Demonstration-Practice-Revision (QDPR) could improve students’ pronunciation correctly especially in pronouncing sound /f/, /v/, and /θ/, /t/. Thus, QDPR can be an alternative model to English pronunciation instruction in English classrooms

Abstract

In the Natural Sciences Curriculum Development Program at UM Biology Education, not all students are active and skilled in expressing opinions so that during the class discussion process, not all students are able to express their ideas to solve the problems given by the lecturers. Through Lesson Study based learning, it is hoped that communication and collaboration skills of students will increase. The research approach used is a qualitative approach and the type of research is classified as action research based on Lesson Study. The results showed that LS-based learning can improve student communication and collaboration skills.

Abstract

This research was a Class Action Research. The problem in this study was the low learning outcomes of Civics students in grade V SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of the Snowball Throwing Type Cooperative method in improving PKn learning outcomes for Grade V students of SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa. The hypothesis of this study was through the use of the Cooperative Type Snowball Throwing method, the PKn learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa Makassar City on the subject of the Central and Regional Legislation Regulations can be improved. This research was carried out on fifth grade students of SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa in the academic year 2017/2018 and the number of students was 30 people. This research data was obtained from the test results of learning to see the success of student learning after learning using observation sheets for teachers and students for the conditions of the implementation of actions and teacher reflection journals. The procedure of this study consists of: (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, and (4) reflection. From the data exposure and discussion obtained the conclusion of learning by using audio-visual media can improve student learning outcomes PKn, where there was an increase in the average value of learning outcomes from 64.5 in the first cycle to 86.66 in cycle II and the completeness of learning outcomes of 36 , 66% or as many as 11 of 30 students whose grades reached the KKM in the first cycle increased to 96.66% or as many as 29 of 30 students whose grades reached the KKM in the second cycle.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the application of Brain-Based Learning Approach to be used in teaching reading comprehension to the first year students of MA As?adiyah Ereng-Ereng Bantaeng Regency.The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative method that is one group, post-test classification. problems statement of this research is what is the students? reading comprehension after the application of Brain-Based Learning Approach to the first year students of MA As?adiyah Ereng-Ereng Bantaeng?. There were two variables, namely independent variable (the application of Brain Based Learning Approach) and dependent variable (Teaching Reading Comprehension).The population of this research was the first year students of MA As?adiyah Ereng-Ereng Bantaeng Regency in academic year 2019/2020.The total number of population was 22 students. The sample of the research was 22 students which were taken by using total sampling technique.The instrument of this research was reading comprehension test. The result of the data indicated that there was a good classification.&nbsp; The mean score of the test section was 80&nbsp; and standard deviation in post-test was 9.1.Based on the finding and discussion of the research, the researcher drawn a conclusion that the application of Brain Based Learning Approach was good to be used in teaching reading comprehension to first year students of MA As?adiyah Ereng-Ereng.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to know the use of scrabble game can reinforce EFLYoung Learners vocabulary. The writer was applied pre experimental with one group pre-test and post-test. This research was conducted at SMPN 35 Makassar sub-district of Biringkanaya, Makassar city. In this research, the population was the seven grade students of SMPN 35 Makassar in academic year 2016/2017. The total numbers of population were 240 students. The researcher was used total sampling technique. The total number of samples was 30 students from class VII-1. In analyzing the numerical data, the writer used SPSS for windows. After conducted the research, the writer concludes that the use of Scramble Game in teaching English vocabulary enriches the students’ vocabulary; it is proved by the mean score of the students’ in pre-test and posttest. The mean score of the pre-test before the treatment was 57.40 and after the treatment the students gained score 74.67. The t-test of the students’ vocabulary achievement in posttest was smaller than α. The researcher found that the p-value (probability value) was lower than α (0.00 < 0.05) and the degree of freedom was 29. The t-test value of pre-test and post-test was remarked significantly different. It indicated that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and, of course, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enlarge the teaching and learning tools which is basedon PowerPoint software of computer and will be applied to the X grade students of Surveying. Hopefully, by using this media the students can enlarge their learning in English especially in Pronoun. The data of first circle shows that the students who get score less than 75 % is 15 students (40,54 %). Students mastery learning is 75,5 %. Students who are active is 21 students and not active is 16. In the second circle there are 2 students who get score 75 (5,41 %). Students mastery learning is 81,49%. Students who are active is 29 students (78,38%) and 8 students who are not active (21,62%). The data of using media in teaching and learning process shows that all the students are very interesting with the media of PowerPoint software of computer. This is shows that 100 % of the students are exciting, 89,19 % students said that they are easy going to learn, 86,49 % os the students are more active, 75,68 % of the students are motivated to learn, 83,78 % of the students said that they are understand and 0% of students are boring and 89,19 % of students are happy tu study. The student’s motivation in learning material of Pronoun is great, it is about 75,68%. In same case, there are 29 students (78,38%) who said that their English score is betterr. there are 35 students (94,59%) said that they are more motivated in learning. Form those data above can be concluded that teaching and learning process by using PowerPoint software of computer is more significant than the conventional one.
